Man I wish I could listen to this everytime I am feeling down. I love that sound more than almost anything. She is laughing so hard, she snorts. I am in love with that snort. It is snortilicious. Thank goodness for 90th birthday parties, kiddie tables with stickers, and the awesome Aunties that supply them :)

Singlet news

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A wrestling singlet (or simply singlet) is a one-piece, tight-fitting, colored uniform, usually made of spandex, lycra, or nylon, used in amateur wrestling. The uniform is tight fitting so as not to get grasped accidentally by one's opponent, and allows the referee to see each wrestler's body clearly when awarding points or a pin. Unlike judo, it is illegal to grasp an opponent's clothing in all styles of amateur wrestling.

The Gavinator pulled out a 2nd place trophy at the invitational on Saturday. He was so proud, right before he went into his second match his cousin got a fat lip while wrestling. I thought for a fleeting moment that that moment might mean the end of Gavin's career, but instead he surprised me by pulling my arm and whispering into my ear, "I am gonna win this one for my cousin." And he did. Here is a sneak peek of part of that match.

Silent Night

Maleah has been playing piano for a little over 3 months now. Her first recital was held at Golden Living in Salem. She was nervous, but I think she did just fine;)

• Like mother like daughter
• Say it, sister
• She keeps going and going like the energizer bunny.

Last night, at the dinner table we were all trying to get a word in when we noticed Addi babbling away. She went on and on and on before I even thought to grab the camera and record it. She was so cute with her hand gestures and her 'know it all' voice. She just kept going. Forgive the giggles, we could hardly contain ourselves. I know what you are thinking. Yes, I am sure my mother would agree this is just about how I started out, too. I love how she hardly stops to shove a french fry in her mouth...just like me. What have I created? Poor thing.

First steps

Dad tried for an hour last night to document Nora's first steps, of course she wasn't cooperating then today I shot this video sideways, of course :(, not too shabby for a 10 month old

and this is Gavin a half an hour after school the first day...please note the fetal position.

The sun is shining. It's the last day of school. Maleah kicked butt at field day, AND I have the videos to show daddy! Can life get much better than this?

She pulled out a first in the potato drop race, the obstacle course, the potato sack race and she won her heat and then tied for first (with her bff) in the finals in the 50 meter dash. I can't wait for dad to wake up and see her cross the finish line again and again. Guess we'll have to work on frisbee toss, football toss, softball throwing and soccer kicks for next year.
