Happy Easter
John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.”

This is the hottest, best, "deal" ever. FREEdom from sins and the promise of eternal life. Totally awesome. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

Monday Multitudes 838-848
It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening...You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done, O Lord, What great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts. Psalm 92:2, 4-5
Feelings help us identify what is going on in our lives and all around us. But, feelings can be our enemy, too. If we dwell in them too long or lose perspective by thinking of how we feel about something. We can get stuck and focus on past failures, here and now struggles and the fear of what may come. How can we get out of this funk? Take our eyes off ourselves and set them on the Lord. As we look to God's greatness and goodness, His Spirit infuses us with hope about what He will do in our lives!
Having been a patient of chemotherapy where I visited the infusion center twice monthly, I can relate to the power of the word. I pray that I will be infused by the healing power of the Holy Spirit to change my attitude.
Today Lord I have so many blessings. Help me to focus on You and not me;
a few new reads; Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst, that was written for me I think, Run like a Mother by Dimity McDowell, and Divine by Karen Kingsbury, my new favorite author
a schedule too busy to realize I am a single mom this week
making quilt tops with wonderful neighbors
finding the time to listen to my ipod and be infused
holding my tongue, Lord give me strength to not say the words that I feel
apoligizing for losing my temper and being forgiven by a two year old, "It's okay, mom are you a happy mom now?"
biting my tongue, it is just those evil feelings getting in my way, I need an infusion
friends who ask how I am and really care about my answer, I wish I was half the friend my friends are to me
chewing on my tongue, Lord thank you for teaching me patience and helping me not fly off the handle
sibling dish doers who do not argue while they wash, rinse, dry and put away...they earned four scoops of ice cream for getting along so well
Sunday morning breakfast with the family
soft blankets and cuddly toddlers
mint oreos :)

Fettucini alfredo with ham, mushrooms and snow peas
Eat your heart out Pioneer Woman. This is what I do when I have lots of interesting (wierd) ingredients that I need to use up in the fridge.
Ingredients:
1 box fettuccine (any pasta will work)
6 T butter
2 cups sliced cooked ham
1/2 pound sliced portabellini mushrooms
1-2 cups snow peas (mine were frozen)
1 cup cream (I used 2% milk :))
1 T. minced garlic
1 cup finely grated parmesan
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
fresh parsley for garnishing
Directions:
1.Cook the fettuccine in a pot of rapidly boiling salted water until the pasta is al dente (not soft and mushy).
2.While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Fry the mushrooms and the garlic then add the cream, ham, and snow peas and bring to the boil.
3.Cook until sauce has reduced, or for about five minutes, stirring gently.
4.Remove from the heat.
5.Place pasta in a serving dish, sprinkle with the parmesan cheese then pour the sauce over the pasta to melt the cheese.
6.Gently mix the pasta and sauce together.
7.Season with salt and pepper.
8.Garnish with parsley and a little parmesan. Serve to chilluns:)
Saute.
This is a beautiful shot of frozen snow peas out of order :)
Add ham (according to my internet research ham is the common ingredients in South African dishes).
Add milk.
Oops, forgot to add the garlic earlier and here is my fat thumb.
Bring everything to a boil, I prefer crunchy veggies so I waited to add my snow peas.
Add the cheap parmesan cheese :).
Dump all the sauce and ingredients over the pasta and cheese.
Stir gently.
Serve
to chapped cheek chilluns.
Hasn't the weather been gorgeous. Our skin is still adjusting:)

I will show you
Long gone, hopefully, are the days where they are not tired enough for nap. Here now is the season of playing outside all day and falling asleep before lunch because you are wiped out! YEAH!
So yesterday the girls were trying to slide down the hill on their bottoms, because all they can remember in their two and three year old brains is sledding down that same hill. I tried to teach them the art of rolling. Addi caught on quickly and Nora went sideways for most of the time and then just figured it out on her own. She has no fear that one.
Today they attempted the wall jump. They both jumped from the first block, they both jumped from the second block. But, when it came to that third one Nora jumped 10 times while Addi just moved up and down and up and down. She couldn't bring herself to do it. Addi kept stepping down one and finally she jumped from the third one after Nora had jumped a dozen times. Be careful of the volume on this video. They scream to each other at the end:)
Nora jumps, Addi moves down the steps.
delayed jump

Nora, "Mom, I can't make it not go sideways"
Nora, "Mom what's that in my hair?"
Nora, thinking to herself "This stick is much funner than trying to roll..."Today they attempted the wall jump. They both jumped from the first block, they both jumped from the second block. Monday Multitudes 822-837
Ephesians 2:7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Who would have thought that Monday would be the "new" Friday? Our weekends have been so full it sure is nice to have a Monday to relax a bit.
I was able to experience an amazing event this weekend. It was spectacular. It was called Faith Girlz and featured author Nancy Rue. If you have a daughter age 9-13ish you should really check out faithgirlz.com. I took Maleah and it was a wonderful event for both of us. They are on a world tour currently and came to little old Sioux Falls, SD. There are lots of clubs around the nation for girls called GEMS, girls everywhere meeting their Savior. It reminds me of Girl Scouts or 4-H with the emphasis on Scripture. The girls do community outreach, earn badges and learn how to communicate with others by following the example of "Who's your Daddy?" JESUS. Nancy Rue is a pretty spectacular speaker, I can't wait to read some of her books. If you have a girl you should really check out her stuff. I am new to this, but I would recommend her in a heartbeat. Thanks so much to my friend Janel for inviting me.
This week I am thankful for so much including but not limited to;
sunshine, sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine with a little wind mixed in
Aunt Tracy and time for her to spend with my kids who adore her
an early release day that allowed dad to take the kiddos to Grandma's and me to get a little Sensible Sister shopping done
warmer mornings that allow me to get outside
quality time with my nine year old, Nancy Rue's books and a safe place for Maleah to go online
a few spare moments to make slippers
milky way treats
piano recitals
an awesome group of Sensible Sisters
a freezer full of yummy food
a summer full of exciting opportunities
time at Grandmas to play and run
a nice Sunday morning breakfast
a family movie night with popcorn
awesome grocery sales on food that is good for my family
