holy experience

Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who makes the strom clouds. He gives showers of rain to men and plandts of the field to everyone. Zechariah 10:1 NIV

Today, Lord, I am so very thankful for all the wonderful things you have created especially

glorious sunshine that seeps into my soul and warms me from within

a handshake and a smile and a "Let me think about it and get back to you" from my pastor

clean rooms even if it did take them all day, but there was no yelling:)

wind to dry my clothing on the line

the hint of a full summer

a wedding weekend, the first of a couple in the family this spring

a happy family now that the sun is up and the grass is green again

music that blares from the kitchen cd player while we do the dishes together

little ones drying dishes

trying to find shorts and flip flops again

the sound of a lawnmower and a tiller

Amen, and thank you Lord for all you have done...

God does not respond to what we do; we respond to what God does. We've finally figured it out. Our lives get in step with God and all others by letting Him set the pace not by proudly or anxiously trying to run the parade. Romans 3:27-28 MSG

EE Hunt, April 2010

I think that Scotland does such a great job of celebrating community for Easter. The local retirement home dyes hundreds of eggs and then leads a group egg hunt by dividing the kids up into age groups. Each child gets $2 of Bunny Money to spend at any business in Scotland. Then if you find the "golden" egg you get an extra $5 to spend. My kids bought ice cream bars and popcicles with their bunny cash. They had a ton of fun :)

holy experience

After a few weeks hiatus, I am back in the saddle:) Thanks for not scolding me...

He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:10-11

Thankful for more than I can type today.

Family, near and far.

Adorable second cousins whom I have never met before in Flourbluff, TX.

Baseball practice in March in Corpus Christi.

Seashells and sand dollars.

Sandy beaches and sunshine.

Pecans that fall from trees in Haltom City.

Mexican food that tastes so delicious in San Antonio.

Rental cars that stay in one piece in Fort Worth.

Family that forgives and forgets in Texas.

Scraps of yarn that crochet egg holders, camera cases and video game holders.

Snow that melts in one short week.

Home sweet home.

The smell of my children and my husband.

Laundry that can hang on the line.

Sunshine on my face in my own backyard.

Enjoying the outdoors like it is the very first time we have experienced it.

Holy Week.

Invitations to church.

Family gatherings and celebrations.

Easter egg hunts.

Brats on the grill.

Kites in the sky.

Sleepy children and parents.

Monday mornings after a long and most wonderful weekend.

Spring

These are my favorites. This weather is too nice. I have gotten nothing done in the house these past few days...
