The following are unscripted stories documenting my experiences as a mommy. I write about all the things I am passionate about, faith, family and frugality. Welcome to Mommyville.

Darn,
I forgot my camera for both Thanksgiving celebrations so you are just going to have to believe me when I tell you we were ridiculously blessed with food, family, and fun. I hope you were, too.

Monday Multitudes #668-679
Ephesians 5:20... giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...
It is Monday again. Here we are at the end of the year again. This morning we got a dusting of the pretty white stuff, in fact, it is still falling. Now it really is beginning to look like the holidays around here. This week I pray that everyone stays safe and warm and 'full' both physically and spiritually.
The blessings are pretty amazing around here especially when you sit down and think about them for a few moments.
a full pantry thanks to triple coupons and my smart sis
warm socks on cold mornings
falling snow
safe travel on icy roads
time with friends
plans for family time
father and son fun hunting
a big sister who plays all day with her little sisters
a fun day out with my own sister grocery shopping and couponing 101
cold walks to keep on moving
cookie recipes just waiting to be tried
turkey defrosting
What are your gifts today?

Monday Multitudes #637-651
Today Lord I am blessed in so many ways...
the beautiful November weather
an awesome group of friends to 'move' with who didn't wince a bit when I needed to move the time to even earlier in the morning
a handyman husband
a freezer full of baked goods
a weekend with good naps for the little girls
a great day celebrating my entrance into this world
children who are intelligent and love to learn and read
a rapid recovery for dear friends
several packed pews on Sunday
a new identification
time to spend with grandma
my own forgiveness and the ablitity to forgive others
semi-sweet chocolate chips and spoonfuls of peanut butter
girls who take the time change to a whole new level, but still manage to make me smile
Have a blessed week, will ya?

sIgH...the weekend
has arrived and dad is working which gives the house some time to settle. It has been a crazy week here.
I just cut Gavin's hair and it didn't go well. I grabbed the three to do the back and accidentally started with the top. Sheesh.
Last night I bit into a piece of crusty bread and busted my tooth in half.
I have bananas on the counter waiting to be in bread with some dark cocoa chips. Plans to make runza's are in the works but are exhausting me just thinking about it.
My brother sent me two lei's from Hawaii and they. smell. so. lovely. I want to go to Hawaii. right. now. please. someone. buy. me. a. ticket. pretty please?
I spent the bday in the big city renewing my drivers lc. (that is AN experience I tell ya), eating lunch with a super great friend, thrifting and hunting for bargains until I couldn't walk another step, coming home to some fun mail and a nice supper with my hubby which may have included two margaritas and some cake...
The kitchen remodel is coming along nicely. Dusty and dirty, but wonderful none-the-less. Down came the wall, down came the beam, up went the new beam (I think we almost maimed a b-i-l with that one) and now the sheetrock is back over the beam just waiting for finishing. Hopefully we can get new flooring and perhaps some cabinets before Nora graduates from high school.

I set myself up for this one
Nora and mommy in the bathroom for pottying...
Mommy, "Nora sits on the little potty with her little butt."
Nora, "And mommy has a BIG butt."

every person
should be able to break down a wall at least once in their life. The kids enjoyed it...maybe too much:)
This is how Sunday went for us. I guess it was Demolition Kitchen Wall day. Project man isn't being slowed down by a nagging cough. He is in full project mode. Wonder what he has planned for November? I really wish I knew...sigh.
Monday Multitudes #623-636
Thank you Lord for every single gift you have given me.
Especially;
beautiful children
good weather
a fun group of friends to spend time with
a long overdue conversation with a sister in law
prayers for health and happiness
a nice bridal shower for a beautiful young bride to be
time to laugh
feeling better even if just a little bit
friends who trick or treat for salsa :)
healing for JoAnn and Harriet
time with family
demolition of the kitchen wall
a sale on m&ms
I count every blessing even the tiny chocolate ones :)

reformation day 2010
Two puppies, a kitty and ...a pirate. The pirate manifested last minute from a birthday party (theme) that Gavin attended the day before.
I didn't do makeup cuz it was a school night. But, note the improvement on the costume :)
