Monday Multitudes, #262-276
Bless the Lord, O you His angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding...Bless the Lord, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul. Psalm 103:20,22
Oh what a beautiful Monday, rain and all...
Lord today I thank you for;
sunny days to paint
brother in law's who share equipment
sister-in-law's who recover from surgery quickly
mother-in-law's who surprise visit their grandkids
(who am I kidding? all those in-law's. I love 'em, thank you Lord for giving me my awesome extended family!)
the health and endurance of a co-worker of Ryan's, Lord watch over him now as he continues his battle with the bully
little j as he continues to get better even when he doesn't seem sick
dear friends and road trips and being hoarse from talking the whole way
wally or walter and all the amazing navigators of this world... even those who encourage small scenic re-routes
chocolate covered 'health' bars to get us through the scenic detours
two dollar-winter coats and free jeans :)
finding the items on the list and more
anniversaries even if they are spent rock-a-byeing kids and cleaning up sick children messes - gift cards to ensure that someday, somehow we may actually be able to celebrate with each other...
Sunday night meetings that lead to a brainstorming session on how to help a dear friend with much needed repairs
Monday mornings spent under the quilt with a cup of coffee and the computer

a peek into the past
got an email today from a friend with a small request
couldn't find the words I needed so I went digging
read this
and cried
the LORD has been so good to me, SO GOOD TO ME

Monday Multitudes, #250-262
For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever. Psalm 100:5
Today, oh beautiful Saviour, thank you for all that You have given us, but especially;
the Son and the sun to warm my soul and my skin
green on the ground and on the branches
tulips that have bloomed :)
days of bargain hunting
paint on the house, and on shoes
celebrations of joy and love
lots of wedding chocolate cake and borrowed spaces to store it
an extended family that keeps growing... a wedding and a new baby soon and then another wedding
spaces that look beautiful
dancing the night away
putting the worn out babes to bed
chocolate cake for breakfast :)

oh PRAISE the One who paid my debt
I loathe doing the dishes. I procrastinate until we are down to the last fork and plate. It is really awful how much I avoid them. I beg the children to do them and offer bribes of money and ice cream but with the nice weather we have been having I can't get any one to commit. So, I have been forced to do them myself.
To help me get in "the zone" I crank my under the counter cd player up with some rockin tunes from audio adrenaline and kryptonite. I always turn it up loud and sort of lose my self in the song and the suds. I have had the same cd in for so long it has begun to skip. The music was a gift from someone when I was sick.
Anyway, last night I was washing and singing and something came over me. It was...I know it was the Holy Spirit, but it was so beautiful and amazing I don't want to ruin it with words that cannot fully describe the moment. I was so moved, my body was completely covered in goose bumps. I knew right after it happened that I wanted everyone to feel like this. I wanted to climb to the top of the mountains and shout it out loud, "HE washed it white as snow!"
It is so hard for me to imagine someone not knowing about Jesus. My life would be so empty, so completely worthless without God. I pray that everyone everywhere can hear about the debt that Jesus paid. I pray that everyone can feel His amazing love.
I googled the song and it seems I am not the only one who has had "a moment" with these words. I hope you can enjoy this one even if just for a moment.
As for me, I think I need to do a lot more talking about Jesus and for the time being a lot more sinks of dishes :) All to Him I owe! Amen.

Too good to pass up
Ryan got me a fire pit for Christmas a couple of years ago. He got an awesome deal at Lewis Drug. But this one is cheaper. AND it's pretty. AND they take PAYPAL. SCORE!
If you are in the market for a fire pit, I dare you to pass this one up. Double dog dare...

Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who makes the strom clouds. He gives showers of rain to men and plandts of the field to everyone. Zechariah 10:1 NIV
Today, Lord, I am so very thankful for all the wonderful things you have created especially
glorious sunshine that seeps into my soul and warms me from within
a handshake and a smile and a "Let me think about it and get back to you" from my pastor
clean rooms even if it did take them all day, but there was no yelling:)
wind to dry my clothing on the line
the hint of a full summer
a wedding weekend, the first of a couple in the family this spring
a happy family now that the sun is up and the grass is green again
music that blares from the kitchen cd player while we do the dishes together
little ones drying dishes
trying to find shorts and flip flops again
the sound of a lawnmower and a tiller
Amen, and thank you Lord for all you have done...

EE Hunt, April 2010
I think that Scotland does such a great job of celebrating community for Easter. The local retirement home dyes hundreds of eggs and then leads a group egg hunt by dividing the kids up into age groups. Each child gets $2 of Bunny Money to spend at any business in Scotland. Then if you find the "golden" egg you get an extra $5 to spend. My kids bought ice cream bars and popcicles with their bunny cash. They had a ton of fun :)

After a few weeks hiatus, I am back in the saddle:) Thanks for not scolding me...
He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:10-11

These are my favorites. This weather is too nice. I have gotten nothing done in the house these past few days...
