it's cool enough so I will be
Facebook status' I can't bring myself to post...
Why, on the day when I am doing sheets, is there not even a teeny tiny whiff of wind? My laundry has been hanging since 9 am.
The opening of the city pool means the kids' chores are done before 1pm, why can't the pool be open year round?
Why does it take someone needing to use my restroom (not immediate family) for me to get around to cleaning it?
Why am I so thankful on Monday and so crabby on Tuesday (sometimes Monday afternoon)?
The best deals always come along as I am about to be overdrawn :( no fair.

Monday Multitudes # 391-410
Today I am ever so thankful to my Lord and Savior for:
a week full of ballgames and no injuries or postponements
sunshine to dry up the too wet places and to get the garden growing again
husbands that help with projects that I volunteer for especially when I am not too good with the four-wheel drive
all things He has created so beautifully on this earth especially the rocks
strong suspension in vehicles to carry the rocks home
air conditioning
rhubarb sodas
cherries
rhubarb
hanging clothes on the line to bake dry in the summer sun
motivation to organize the bathroom closet
changing the girls several times a day because they just can't stay out of the pool
the city pool for a cool family swim on a Saturday night
the baptism of a nephew in the middle of a thunderstorm
a survivor party and for Denise and her wellness
Sunday sermons that rock and remind me to quit complaining and get to work just like Elisha and Elijah
Sundays that allow me to relax even for just a few minutes
beautiful summer evening ballgames and the sound of the kids laughing and playing
bug spray :)
Have you counted your blessings lately?

Another beautiful summer evening ballgame
Ryan at bat
Jake spins for a fouled ball while Ryan plays third and Chad is at short
I have spent the last 20 years watching my husband play baseball. No exaggeration neccessary. We were 15 years old when he was playing Legion ball. Now, I watch my son being the bat boy and wonder how many more years I will be following my boys. They love the game so much. Thank you, Lord, for my boys and for baseball to keep them happy!

Laws Concerning Food and Drink; Household Principles; Lamentations of the Father - Magazine - The Atlantic
I think I may have written this, except for the fact I was not married yet and had no children in 1997.
Cherries
Yesterday, my son noticed the cherries on the tree in the front yard. I,completely buried in the unpack mode, said, "we should tell the neighbors about them before the birds eat them all." Every year I see them turning and then I forget and the birds clean the tree out in a matter of hours.
So, the neighbor came over with her grand quintuplets who are teenagers now. They picked and I complained about pitting the cherries and she told me a neat little trick about using a straw to pit them.
This morning she brought me two pints of cherry jelly.
Yum!
Anyone want some cherries?
