Overflowing

The waters started rising yesterday and by 3pm had crossed first avenue and flowed freely into all the low lying areas in town, the parks, and the campground. Access to the swimming pool was by foot only as no roads to the building were open.

It brought back a lot of memories for us. Ryan and I remember when this happened in 1993 on the last day of school. No matter how many times you have seen it, it is still an amazing sight.

the concession stand

these guys were plenty busy yesterday in the village

the practice field just south of the baseball diamond

The concession stand at the baseball field

earthworms

...overwhelming...

I told this young man I would tattle on him :)

No water at our house on the hill from the flood. We are drinking bottled water and cooking with bottled water, too, just to be safe. And it's raining again :(
