curly vs. straight
I was reminded of how to make my dd's hair curly by a blogger friend (thanks D), lately. I french braid little sections of her thick, but fine hair and she sleeps on it and then we undo the braids and viola! She saw it and immediately said, "I am beautiful." I had to remind her that straight hair is beautiful, too. Why is it that we always want what we don't have?

I heard a preacher say last week: "Comparison brings discontentment." Ain't that the truth. I hate that it begins so early.
And yes, she IS beautiful. Tell her I said so, and it would be true even if she were bald.
you know it...
I TRIED to tell her everyone is beautiful by talking to her about losing my hair, then she decided that she wanted short hair like me, now I am trying to talk her out of it...
Ha! Event the best Mommy plans backfire.
aw, she IS beautiful :)
