Go, Fight, Win

The following quotes are a couple of my favorite motivational sayings.

Stevie Wonder
We all have ability. The difference is how we use it.
Aristotle
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.

Those and this verses from the Bible.
Mark 10:27
For with God all things are possible.

The high school football team is in the state championship. They play tonight. The town is humming with an excitement about the game. There are signs up in people's yards, in the local businesses and along the highway to the interstate with streamers and glitters and cheers to the team. It's hard to to get caught up in the hoopla. In my opinion they are already winners. I am proud of them however the outcome of this last game. Undoubtedly they want to win, but working together, learning new plays, listening to the coaches, staying healthy and strong to be able to play tonight is a commendable feat as well. I think about all the nights they have spent working and strengthening themselves for this moment. It all ends with the performance tonight. I hope they are able to say they learned a lot, worked hard, and made some amazing memories.

Today I am thankful for opportunities to be successful. Playing on a team can teach a person some valuable lessons about life. I hope and pray that our team has already achieved rewards from playing together all year. This game tonight is just a bonus of learning how to use your ability to succeed.

Good luck boys, you have already proven that you can do it.

Gimme a T, Gimme a H, Gimme an A, Gimme a N, Gimme a K, What's that spell? THANK... you God for;

children
friends
little surprises
family, each and every one
warm, fall nights to watch high school football games
forgiveness
trying new things
freedom
colors
opportunities to be successful

We are so proud of our stud muffin nephew who pulled off the MVP of the game. He is really talented.
